HuckleBerry Play: Indoor Playground, Party Spot And Cafe

  • By Melanie Bodner
  • July 9, 2025

What’s better than your child having a safe, fun place to play while you sneak in a little me time at the cafe? Huckleberry Play in Morris Plains is an interactive indoor/outdoor playground that provides excitement for the kids and a little break for the parents, too. This 15,000-square-foot facility with natural light and lots of windows caters to toddlers up to eighth graders, so siblings with large age ranges will find something to do while the little ones play. And with options like children’s parties, summer camps, open play, and rock climbing, there’s plenty of play for all. Read on for what to know when you go. (featured photo credit:@huckleberryplaynj)

Play all-day

With a bunch of different areas that cater to kids’ interests and imaginations, kids can jump around from station to station, finding what interests them most. Kids can build and explore in the build-a-brick area, dress up like a pirate or a robot, shop at the market station, or let loose and dance in the dance room. Littles can be independent in a safe, padded area where they can crawl and explore. They’ll love splashing around in the giant ball pit, sliding down the twisty slide, and climbing through the colorful obstacles. For bigger kids, there’s an arts and crafts area where they can create something new and a spot where they can go rock climbing. Plus, Huckleberry Play takes safety seriously, making sure surfaces are regularly sanitized, and has a top-notch surveillance system to watch your child play while you relax. And no need to rush—during the week (and less crowded time to go), your kids can hang out and play all day (during peak times such as weekend days of inclement weather, play is limited to two-hour time slots).

Take the stress out of party and camp time

Need to plan a birthday party? Whether you choose from the basic or deluxe party packages or the premium option (which gives you use of the entire facility while closed to the public), Huckleberry parties take the stress out of planning one yourself. The packages include a pizza party, a private room, and theme decorations. And if your kids love going to the playspace, consider signing them up for winter and spring break camps when you are home and need something to do, or summer camp from late July to early September for all ages. At the camp, kids will experience more than play, including science experiments, language-arts-based learning, math, global learning, and just plain fun all summer long.

Break time at the Huckleberry Cafe

While kids are having a blast, parents can get a break and even work in the Huckleberry Cafe with snacks and beverages as well as free Wi-Fi. You can hang out in a booth or table and grab a snack or coffee. If your little one gets hungry after all of their playing, check out the menu from nearby Eli’s Eatery of chicken fingers, fries, grilled cheese, and smoothies, or Korean specialties like Korean Fried Chicken, Bulgogi (rib eye), Kimbap (Sushi) and Bibimbap (Rice Bowl). You can have your order delivered right to the Cafe.

What to know before you go

Huckleberry Play is recommended for toddlers up to eighth graders. The facilities are cleaned frequently, from tidying up to deeper cleaning when needed. Cubbies are available to drop off shoes and belongings. Comfortable socks, preferably with grips, are essential, as shoes and bare feet are prohibited. The play gym is open every day from 10 AM to 6 PM, except Saturday which opens at 8:30 AM. Under 12 months are free with a paid child, children with one adult is $25, children under one year with one adult is $15, and it’s $20 per additional child. The cost for an extra adult is also $7.
