Parasailing in NJ: 10 Places To Catch Air

  • By Karen Liszewski
  • June 27, 2025

Ready, set, soar—if you’re up for an adventure, parasailing in NJ is one of those bucket list things you have to try at least once. The experience offers a unique and thrilling perspective of the ocean and beach, yet it’s not for the faint of heart. You’ll be 500 feet in the air while sitting in a parachute harness pulled by a boat (of course, each company takes extreme safety measures). But fans say it’s a calming and fantastic experience that can be as daring or tame as you want, especially if you choose to skim the top of the ocean to cool off as you enjoy the sights. While not every NJ beach has parasailing available, there are plenty of places all up and down the shore. Check out where to go parasailing in NJ below for a fun, high-flying adventure. And if you are in a coastal mood, don’t miss the best beaches in NJ. (featured photo credit: istock/emreogan)

10 Places To Go Parasailing In NJ

Atlantic Parasail
Catch air over Cape May, Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, and North Wildwood from the inlet location of Atlantic Parasail. With their Winch-type boats, you safely take off and land back on the boat without ever getting wet. The trip usually lasts about an hour and a half, allowing you to enjoy the scenic boat ride before and after parasailing (between 8-12 minutes).

Atlantic City Parasail
Atlantic City Parasail is an ideal way to spend the day on the water, and it’s a short distance from the boardwalk and the casinos. You can choose between getting a dip in the sea or staying completely dry as you land gently back on the boat. When you ride with them, you will be airborne for approximately 10-12 minutes, and the boat ride will last around 90 minutes.
800 N New Hampshire Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Belmar Parasail
You’ll get an aerial view of the Belmar Marina when you take off from the back of their 31-foot parasail boat’s flight deck. Depending on how comfortable you are, you can choose between being gently dipped into the ocean water or getting your feet wet as you are in flight. And to commemorate your voyage, photo and video packages are available.
608 River Road, Belmar, NJ 07719

East Coast Parasail
What could be better than seeing the picturesque town of Cape May from the sky? This Cape May parasailing company has boats designed to take off gently in the water and keep you completely dry unless, of course, you decide to take a dip. Boats fill up fast, so book your time in advance.

FlyOCNJ Parasail
FlyOCNJ is an option for parasailing in Ocean City, where you can take in the gorgeous shoreline from up in the air. You will have the chance to soar 500 feet above the boardwalk and the beach (and catch a breeze to beat the heat). After your flight, walk on the boardwalk and enjoy some delicious pizza or ice cream.

Hang Loose Parasail
Beaches at Wildwood can be crowded, so seeing them from the sky is a welcome way to enjoy them without setting foot on the sand. Soar 500 feet over the Wildwood beaches and wave to all the people from the safety of the parasailing hookup. Trips depart every two hours.
502 W. Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260

LBI Parasail
This bird’s-eye view offers a completely different perspective of the island, featuring stunning ocean and bay views. Their boats are certified by the US Coast Guard and have a 100% safety record, with a new boat utilizing state-of-the-art technology and safety features.
19 W 6th Street, Barnegat Light, NJ 08006

Ocean City Parasail
Rated one of the top 5 best activities to do in OC, their bright red and yellow parachutes with smiley faces are easy to spot. First timers? OC Parasail guides beginners through the basics and helps ease nerves. Plus, the tandem or triple flights mean you’ll always have a buddy by your side.
232 Bay Avenue (located between 2nd & 3rd on Bay Avenue) Ocean City, NJ 08226

Point Pleasant Parasail
Flying 500 feet above the ocean waves, Point Pleasant Parasail is a unique way to beat the heat on a summer day. The minimum age to ride on the boat or parasail is 5. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as boats tend to fill up quickly on sunny summer days.
81 Inlet Drive, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742

Sea Isle Parasail
Offering fun for the whole family, a trip with Sea Isle Parasail should be on your summer bucket list. Everyone, from ages 6 to 106 (with no prior experience necessary), has the opportunity to experience the thrill of floating in the air over the open ocean. And to take the excitement up a notch, splash down while flying to soak up every bit of the fun.
