Morey’s Piers in Wildwood: 5 Reasons Why You Should Go To The Boardwalk

  • By Melanie Bodner
  • May 8, 2025

If there’s one thing the Jersey Shore is known for, it is boardwalks, and Morey’s Piers in Wildwood doesn’t disappoint. With three separate oceanfront piers, two water parks, and plenty of spots to grab a favorite boardwalk treat, both kids and adults can have a blast day and night. Your family can hop from pier to pier, splash down a water slide, reach the sky on the Ferris wheel, or test your mini-golf skills at the Starlux to make the most of summertime fun. Scroll down for more about Morey’s Piers, and check out the beaches and places to go in Wildwood, too. (featured photo credit: NJ MOM)

5 Reasons To Visit Morey’s Piers In Wildwood This Summer

More piers, more fun

What makes Morey’s Piers in Wildwood different from other NJ shore boardwalks is its three separate piers, each with a unique style and atmosphere. Mariner’s Pier is full of the classic boardwalk rides that children love and adults remember fondly—bumper cars, a carousel, and teacups—guaranteed for hours of fun. For a more kid-friendly spot, Surfside Pier is the place to be. Littles will have a blast at the Balloon Race and the Wacky Whip, which are perfect for pint-sized riders, and braver ones will be thrilled to see ATMOSFEAR! a 50 mph ride with a harrowing 140-foot drop, or The Great Nor’Easter coaster complete with 2,170 feet of new track and a thrilling 95-foot drop. Lastly, Adventure Pier has hair-raising attractions like The Great White wooden coaster, the 160-foot rotating SkyScraper, and everybody’s favorite Grand Prix Raceway go-kart track.

Find the perfect ride

Are you looking for a gentle kiddie ride, a ride for the whole family, thrill amusements, or are extreme attractions more your speed? Find it on the Morey’s Piers ride list that lets you use a filter to find the perfect ride. This interactive list of over 60 rides and attractions is available at Morey’s Piers, so you can save crucial time getting to know the piers before reaching the shoreline. While stealing a glimpse at the fun, you can also filter the rides by the level of intensity.

Splish splash at Morey’s Piers water parks

When you need to cool off, Raging Waters Water Park offers high-speed waterslides, a Lazy River Adventure, Shipwreck Shoals for little pirates, activity pools, rope swings, and tons of aquatic thrills. You can rent a private cabana to rest between the fun (and put littles down for a nap). Nearby, the Ocean Oasis Water Park and Beach Club has the Cliff Dive Slide, Endless River, Riptide Rapids, and Shotgun Falls, giving you thrills of wet and wild fun steps away from the beach and waves.

Take a snack break

Let’s face it—your kids come for the rides, but you come for the food. From Curley’s Fries with options of Old Bay Seasoning, sea salt, or Cuban spice on your fries or Joe’s Fish Co. with delish fresh-from-the-sea shrimp, cheesesteaks, and signature cocktails, they’ve got something for every palate in this seaside town. Find a handheld sandwich at Stubborn Bros. Beach Bar & Grille or sit down for beef brisket or shrimp tacos at Pig Dog: Beach, Bar, and BQ to rest your feet before heading out for more adventures on the piers. And, of course, the sweets will satisfy any kid or adult, like a plate of powdery funnel cakes, soft-serve Kohr’s on a cone, or a container of pink spun sugar cotton candy to enjoy while walking the boards.

Fore! It’s time for some mini-golf

Here’s a cool fact: Starlux Mini Golf Course has the largest artificial sand dune and castle in the world on its course. With three different courses—the Beach Course with dunes and castles, the Ocean Course with huge water fountains and sea creatures, or the Boardwalk Course with plastic palm trees and Wildwood memorabilia—your family can have a ball playing and competing for fun. Plus, you can challenge yourself with trivia along the way. And if you’re worried about the sun, all courses have shady spots for a rest and are dog-friendly, too.
