This North Wildwood playground is an ideal spot for the 6-and-under set. Think of everything your little ones need to swing, spin, and climb—all on the sand and with ocean views. It’s a great place to visit if you are looking for a few minutes out of the water.

While your toes are in the sand, your little ones can swing or slide on the playground. Lifeguards watch the beach nearby while your kids can run and play.

Bay Beach & Swings
If you’re heading to Long Beach Island, this shore playground embraces the island lifestyle with its laid-back setup and gorgeous views. The location alone puts it among the best beach playgrounds in NJ. Whether relaxing at a picnic table, climbing to the top of the kid-friendly rock walls, or flying high on the swing set, you’ll have a 180-degree view of the serene bay.

Bayfront Park
This park is off the beaten path and the perfect spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. Take in some beautiful views at this NJ playground, complete with nautical age-appropriate play areas, a fitness area, a gazebo, and a walking trail with benches. Your kids can climb on a whale or a ship while you squeeze in a workout at the fitness area.

Bob Meyer Memorial Park
This wooden playground features a house structure for imaginative play, as well as towers, slides, and bridges. It’s connected to another playground so that kids can go from one to the next.

Cape May Zoo
After spending the day checking out the animals, head to the Cape May Zoo playground. Swing like a monkey, slide like a penguin, or climb like a goat on a huge playground that is steps away from the animals and a great spot to let your littles run wild.

Captain Joseph Buck Waterfront Park
If you are looking for a park on the water, this is your place. It’s not the shore, but this 9-acre park with a lake has a boardwalk, a playground with climbing space, a gazebo, and plenty of space for fishing. And for history buffs, know that you are standing on sacred ground—the park is where soldiers once fought during the Revolutionary War.

Chapel Ave Park
This park has a gazebo, fields, a walking path, and, of course, a playground. The play area is fully gated, and much of the equipment is low to the ground, which makes it toddler-friendly. They also have a parent-and-me swing and a baby swing.

Chestnut Branch Park
With swings, slides, and colorful equipment, this is a park where you can’t go wrong. Kids can check out the Little Free Library near the playground to find a book when they need a break.

CSURE Children’s Park
This gated playground is across the street from the beach and has castles, towers, swings, and rope bridges. After a day at the shore, come here to slide, swing, and explore. If you’ve got older kids, there are basketball courts nearby.

Not only does this Glassboro park have a playground, but it has soccer fields, baseball fields, pickleball courts, and a small and a large dog park.

Estell Manor Park
A former glassworks site in the 1800s and a munitions plant site during World War I, this Atlantic County park with multiple playground areas is a fun family outing. With climbing structures like dinosaurs, a pirate ship, and a treehouse at different spots throughout the park, littles can be busy for hours (nap time in the forecast!). Afterward, check out the glasswork ruins, butterfly garden, nature center, and raised trails.

Fasola Park
Climb high in the spider web structure, try out the spinning wheel, or get dizzy in the sphere spin seats at this stellar South Jersey playground. Kiddos can choose from two playgrounds, one for the little ones and one for the bigger kids. Adults can sneak in a workout while kids play in the adjoining fitness areas. After, meet at the splash pad to cool off before heading home.

Forked River Beach Bayfront Park
This playground is a little off the beaten path, but it’s worth the trip for its picture-perfect sunrise and sunset views. While you take in the scenery, your kiddos can climb on nautical, age-appropriate play areas. If you feel energized, try out their outdoor fitness area or take a seat in the pavilion. There are also walking trails with benches.

Fullerton Memorial Park
Full of equipment for all ages, the Fullerton Memorial Park has swing sets, including baby swings and a specific gated toddler section. This playground is also handicap-accessible and was named in honor of Moorestown Police Officer Sgt. Francis Fullerton.

Garden State Rotary Complex
Along with several courts and fields, this park has a fenced-in area for younger children with smaller equipment. The other half of the playground has equipment for the bigger kids.

Gregory Dalessio Park
With gates all around, this playground is easier with the littles. There is a section for little ones, and don’t miss the rocket ship seesaws.

Haddon Lake Park
There are 2 playgrounds in this park, one running from Station Avenue to 10th Avenue and the other from Kings Highway to the Black Horse Pike. Kids will love the swings, climbing structures, and slides, while parents will appreciate the shaded areas.

Harold Huffy Wallis Memorial Park
This baseball-themed playground has fun climbing and sliding areas. Several sports fields are nearby, so bring a ball to kick around when you’re done sliding and swinging.

Hoff’s Playground
Explore the nature-themed sections of this park, including toddler-friendly structures, baby swings, and a nature trail. The park has its own designated parking lot, but keep in mind that there are no bathrooms.

Imagination Kingdom
Let your little one be king or queen for a day at this newly resurfaced castle-themed playground featuring seesaws, tire swings, sway tables, rock-climbing walls, climbing ropes, and more. Find toddler and regular swings, spinning dizzy chairs, and musical equipment—combined with the traditional selection of monkey bars, tunnels, and slides at this spot.

Jake’s Place – Cherry Hill, Delran, and Sicklerville
Jake’s Place is named after Jacob Myles Cummings-Nasto (“Baby Jake”), who was loved by many and left the world too soon. These award-winning, all-inclusive playgrounds are complete with cushioned surfaces, wide ramps for wheelchairs and assistive equipment, bridges, sensory play areas, and even specialized areas for people with autism. There are also swings, a wheelchair glider, and rock walls for climbing.

Knight Park Playground
In the center of Collingswood is this 70-acre park with a playground fit for all ages. The park also features athletic fields, a walking and biking path, a pond, and a nearby pavilion and gazebo, which is an ideal photo spot.

Laurel Acres Park
With high climbing structures and low-level areas for littles, this playground has something for every kid. Slides, swings, and climbing structures are spread out throughout the play space.

Lost World Park
Lost World feels like a little hidden treasure tucked away in the woods with fresh equipment, picnic tables, and fencing to keep younger kids safe. Kids of all abilities can play side by side in this fun dinosaur-themed playground, complete with a sandbox where you can dig for fossils.

Meadowbrook Park
This handicap-accessible playground also includes a tennis court, sand volleyball court, and the Bow Wow Dog Park. There are plenty of places to run, slide, and jump.

This neighborhood spot got a glow-up in 2025, with new structures for kids ages 2-5 to climb and explore. Find tunnels, slides, and lots of imaginative fun at this popular South Jersey playground.

Newton Lake Playground
Completely redone in 2025, this playground has colorful areas, a fun forest theme, and soft rubber surfacing that makes it easy for toddlers, strollers, and wheelchairs. The playground is inside Newton Lake Park, which also has bike paths, picnic areas, and even fishing spots.

Ocean Acres Park
This Manahawkin playground is right next to the Ocean Acres Golf Country Club and is full of fun. Your littles will enjoy rope climbing, a ladder bridge, and balance beams, all in a pretty lakeside setting.

Pennington Park Playgrounds
There are not one but two playgrounds at Pennington Park, and other opportunities are available to your kids, too. Educate your littles about Rancocas Creek and its habitats, including wetlands, tidal ponds, and marshland, creek shoreline, and meadows. Hike, bike, or rollerblade on the trail network, and when you need a break, picnic areas and several picnic shelters are nearby.

Playground at Matador Oceanfront Resort
At the Matador Oceanfront Resort on 16th Ave, you’ll find a spectacular playground for kids of all ages. Your littles can swing, spin, and climb over a soft turf base. This play area is accessible from the street, and there are beach access steps away.

Pterosaur Pterrace Playground
You can explore the Edelman Fossil Park and then head outdoors to climb the dinosaur-themed playground. Your kids will love the giant wooden Pteranodon that spans 45 feet. There are also toddler slides, swings, climbing areas, and a sand pit for digging up replica fossils.

Red Bank Battlefield
Visit Gloucester County’s historic park on the waterfront of the Delaware River. Not only did this park play a crucial role in the Revolutionary War when the Hessians attacked Fort Mercer on October 22, 1777, but the Whitall House on the property also offers tours and programs throughout the year that focus on the park’s history. The ship-themed playground will be a favorite, and make sure to visit the historic gardens and butterfly house while you are there.

Scott Merula Playground
This is a colorful playground located at the Bellmawr Recreation Center. It also includes a half-mile walking track, a football field, a softball field, two baseball fields, a tennis court, two pickleball courts, and two basketball courts.

Springbrook Park
If you are looking for a nice, peaceful, and gated playground, this is the spot. It’s also toddler-friendly.

Sunrise Park
With ocean waves right down the path, Sunrise Park is a spot you’ll never want to leave. From an outdoor fitness area to a splash pad to a playground, this park boasts hours of entertainment. There are also many benches and a gazebo for parents to watch their kids run in the water or swing.

Tony Canale Park
This playground has some fantastic side-by-side slides, perfect for racing family and friends. There are also many climbing structures for little ones to burn off their energy.

Veterans’ Memorial Park
There are multiple sections within this large park with toddler-friendly equipment, and it’s fully gated all around, so no worries about wandering off the grounds.

Washington Lake Park
This is the largest municipal park in New Jersey, and it has park trails, three playground areas, which are all ADA compliant and two are handicap accessible, and there are several athletic fields. You can also rent the pavilion or picnic area.

William G. Rohrer Children’s Playground
Inside Cooper River Park is the William G. Rohrer Playground, with all-new equipment, boasting a riot of color and fun. It’s one of the largest playgrounds in South Jersey, with three distinct play areas by age group, where kids can climb towers, crawl on a rope bridge, swing on the monkey bars, and scale the rock wall.

William Morrow Beach
The beach area has everything from concerts and children’s events to fishing and sunsets. William Morrow Beach, also known as Somers Point Beach, is open to the public and free (no badges needed here), with a playground to keep your kiddos moving.

Wish Upon a Star Park
This popular park is one of only two fully handicap accessible parks in Camden County. There is a special gated Crawlers Area with a little house, a rubber floor, and a whole section with musical play instruments. There is also a large main play area for older kids.
